Chelsea on Thursday confirmed that defender Joseph Wheeler-Henry has completed a transfer from the Blues to Brentford.
Wheeler-Henry spent the second half of last season on loan with the Bees and now makes the move permanent.
Wheeler-Henry joined Chelsea at the Under-13 level and signed his first professional contract after his 17th birthday.
He remained a regular in Chelsea’s youth teams before the switch to Brentford.
“We would like to wish Joseph the best of luck in his future endeavours,” Chelsea’s statement partly read.
Meanwhile, in another development, Manchester United is still interested in Uruguayan Maxi Araujo.
According to Calcio Mercato, the Red Devils have already made enquiries about the Uruguay international.
Araujo’s contract includes a £70million release clause, but Man United will want to pay a lesser fee than that.
Arsenal were also said to be keeping tabs on Araujo.
