The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kogi East Senatorial District in the 2027 general election, Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, popularly known as Elephant, has paid glowing tribute to fathers on the occasion of Father’s Day 2026, describing them as the unsung heroes and backbone of families whose sacrifices and commitment continue to shape society.
In a Father’s Day message released on Sunday, the Kogi East senatorial hopeful commended fathers across Kogi East, Kogi State, and Nigeria for their steady dedication to their families and communities, noting that their contributions are vital to the growth and stability of society.
According to him, fathers play indispensable roles as providers, mentors, protectors, and moral guides, often making enormous sacrifices to ensure the well-being and success of their children.
“Today, I celebrate all fathers and father figures whose love, strength, sacrifices, and commitment continue to sustain families and build stronger communities. Fathers are the unsung heroes of our society. Their tireless efforts and unwavering devotion deserve our deepest appreciation and respect,” he said.
Alhaji Abdullahi stressed that responsible fatherhood remains one of the strongest pillars of nation-building, emphasizing that the values fathers instill in their children help shape the future of society.
“A father’s guidance, wisdom, and discipline leave lasting footprints in the lives of children. Through their sacrifices and dedication, fathers nurture dreams, build character, and inspire hope. Their influence extends beyond their homes and contributes immensely to the development of a peaceful and prosperous nation,” he stated.
The PDP senatorial candidate urged fathers to remain steadfast in their responsibilities despite prevailing economic and social challenges, while encouraging young people to embrace the virtues of integrity, hard work, honesty, and compassion.
He further called on families and society to continually recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of fathers, stressing that strong families remain the foundation of every successful society.
